A. Aignesberger Award of the ACI to Prof. Dr. Johann Plank
On 15.07.2015, the American Concrete Institute (ACI) presented the A. Aignesberger Award to Professor Dr. Johann Plank, during the “11th International Conference on Superplasticizers and Other Chemical Admixtures in Concrete”, held in Ottawa/Canada. This distinction honours Prof. Plank for his outstanding contributions over many years to the Research & Development of plasticizers and other concrete admixtures.
The award bears the name of Dr. Alois Aignesberger who, in 1962, while working for the SKW company in Trostberg/Germany, was the first to synthesize a concrete superplasticizer and to recognize its significance for modern concrete technology.
